Doctor of Dentistry '17 & Chemistry '13
I grew up on a farm near Appleton City, Mo., where dental needs are high and one dentist serves the entire county. After observing the professional and attentive care of my local dentist in high school, I decided to pursue a career in dentistry. Upon graduation I hope to return to Appleton City and open my own dental practice, as the current dentist is nearing retirement. My hope is to bridge this gap so the citizens of my small rural community may continue to be provided high quality dental care. Thank you for the UMKC Alumni Fund scholarships. As a 24-year-old in my second year of dental school, financial obstacles have risen due to the cost of my education. Because of your generosity, dental students can be successful in school and reduce their financial stress.
