Medication Referral

Roo Wellness staff will collaborate with clients to evaluate their medication needs and make referrals to appropriate campus or community resources.

Students who are currently taking psychiatric medications are encouraged to continue treatment with their established prescribing medical provider, as that provider has an existing understanding of treatment needs. Roo Wellness can prescribe and manage antidepressant and anti-anxiety medications. Roo Wellness is not able to prescribe ADHD medications and other select classes of psychiatric medications. With regard to accessing overall healthcare, students may enroll in UMKC Student Health Insurance.
