Roo Employee Engagement
Our goal is to continue creating the UMKC Culture of Care by sponsoring events that focus on employee development and having fun. Events include opportunities for recognition, community-building, development and getting to know each other.

UMKC Day at Disney100: The Exhibition - 6/29
UMKC is a proud sponser of Disney100: The Exhibition at Union Station. We invite you to celebrate with fellow Roos on June 29! Use code 100UMKC to purchase tickets at 50% off.
In addition to the full exhibit, several Disney-themed, UMKC-connected activities are planned at Union Station.
- At 10 a.m., the National Museum of Toys and Miniatures is hosting a maker activity featuring the Disney-illustrated kangaroo mascot.
- At 11:30 a.m., UMKC professor David Trowbridge, Ph.D., will present the "Walt Disney’s Kansas City" lecture and Q&A about Disney’s childhood and early career.

UMKC Roo Walk - Employee Walking Club
This club aims to get employees moving and meeting others. All UMKC employees are welcome to participate.
Spring Season: April 1 - June 30
Fall Season: September 1 - November 30
Those who commit to an average of two 15 minute walks per week will be entered for a chance to win a $100 gift card for new walking shoes or fitness gear. Join the club for more information.
