Returning Roos

If you've taken a few semesters off as a degree-seeking UMKC student and want to come back, you can request to re-enroll as a returning student or apply for readmission.

Requirements to re-enroll

Who Can Re-Enroll?

Previously enrolled degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students may request to re-enroll in their program if they have been away from UMKC for a limited time and did not enroll at another college.

A dental student pushes a cart with equipment down a hall. Another student assists him. They are both wearing blue scrubs.

Graduate students

Request to re-enroll if you have been out of your advanced degree program for less than two consecutive Fall and Spring semesters. You must also meet the requirements to re-enroll.

Apply for Readmission

If you do not meet the requirements for re-enrollment, you must apply to UMKC for readmission. But there's good news — you do not have to pay the fee again. Students who have taken courses at another college in their time away from UMKC must apply as a transfer student.
