Biography

Shannon is a UMKC alumni with a master’s degree in Higher Education and has over ten years of experience in academic advising, retention strategies, and supporting underrepresented student populations. Throughout her career, she has had success developing student affairs programs, managing recruitment and admissions, overseeing marketing efforts, and most recently, grantsmanship. She is excited to embark on her new role as the Assistant Director of Student Accessibility Services within Roo Wellness. She is passionate about promoting inclusivity and advocating for students' needs. As a fellow neurodivergent individual, she is motivated to make a positive impact on the university community and contribute to the ongoing mission of Roo Wellness. Shannon looks forward to supporting both current and future UMKC Roos.
