The certifying official's primary responsibility is to certify enrollment status of veterans to the Veterans Administration.
UMKC is NOT able to determine whether a veteran is eligible for benefits, determine the dollar amount of benefits or when students will receive benefit monies from the VA. You can call 1-888-GI-BILL1 or visit benefits.va.gov/gibill/ to determine your eligibility or inquire about benefits.

Completion of programs within the schools of Dentistry, Law, Nursing and Medicine will prepare students to sit for the appropriate licensure examination in their respective field. Completion of the program guarantees the eligibility to apply to State Board testing but does not guarantee certification.
UMKC is focused on your success as a student. All students new to UMKC are required to meet with an advisor prior to registering for classes.
To apply for scholarships, submit a currently enrolled scholarship application and provide a DD-214. If you are a dependent of a Veteran, please provide a birth certificate.
