Description: This event is for students that are planning to pursue a career in health care, law or another related profession. This presentation will introduce students to Pre-Professional, Pre-Health and Pre-Law advising at UMKC, and help students plan for the future program of their choice. Students will also identify steps necessary to apply to each type of program. This event will count for credit toward First Semester Experience impact experiences
Description: In collaboration with the Writing Studio, students will learn best practices for writing a personal statement. Students can also share drafts of their personal statements for review and individualized guidance.
Description: This series is intended to introduce students to the variety of professional programs that are available at UMKC and in the surrounding Kansas City Community. Each program will introduce students to their curriculum, make recommendations for prospective students and take questions about their application process and requirements.
