Earn College Credit While Still in High School

There are several ways you can enroll at UMKC while still earning your high school diploma.

Enrollment Confirmation Deadline Extended

The UMKC priority confirmation deadline for Fall 2024 has been extended to May 15 to allow for FAFSA processing.

Get a Jump on Your College Education

Through one of our high school partnerships or on your own, you can start taking courses through UMKC while still in high school and receive credit toward your high school diploma and a college degree.

Dual Credit

Through the High School College Partnerships (HSCP) program, eligible high school students at participating schools can take accredited dual credit courses free of charge at your high school or on the UMKC campus. Credit for these courses can be transferred toward your four-year degree at most public and private colleges.

Early College Academy

Seniors from Kansas City Public Schools and North Kansas City Schools gain valuable classroom experience in a higher education setting while earning dual credit, at no cost. In addition, eligible graduates can receive a $1,500 district scholarship when admitted to UMKC.
