Admission Confirmation

Confirmation Fee

The first step to officially becoming a Roo is to accept your offer of admission. You can do this by logging in to the Admission Acceptance Form on your application status page and paying the mandatory confirmation fee with a credit card $150 for first-time college students or $100 for transfer students. This confirmation fee is valid for one academic year.

The confirmation fee covers these costs:

Fee refund

You may receive a refund of your confirmation fee until May 15. Simply contact us before May 15 to request a refund.

Fee deferment

You may request a confirmation fee deferment on the Admission Acceptance Form on your application status page. If the fee is deferred, it will be added to your UMKC bill and must be paid when the bill is due.

Deferment qualifications:

  • Have an application fee waiver
  • Eligible for a federal Pell Grant
  • Received an ACT/SAT fee waiver
  • Participated in federal free or reduced lunch program

If a program is going to cover the cost of your confirmation fee, please type the name of the organization on the Admission Acceptance Form on your application status page. The fee will be deferred until we receive the payment from the organization.

Programs that pay the confirmation fee:

  • Bloch Scholars
  • Kansas SRS Olathe
  • KC Degrees
  • KC Scholars
  • Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation Centers
  • Rehabilitation Services for the Blind KC
  • VA Medical Center
