UMKC Alert! Emergency Mass Notification System

The University of Missouri System uses an automated, rapid notification system to supplement the communication tools currently used to notify students, faculty and staff about campus emergencies and closings, as well as class cancellations due to inclement weather.

Faculty and Staff

UMKC faculty and staff recieve automatic alerts related to severe weather and emergency events on campus via phone, text and email. Go to MyHR to make sure your contact information is up to date so you recieve these important alerts.

Students

UMKC is committed to keeping students safe and informed. We do this through an alert system that notifies you when things like severe weather and emergency events on campus occur. Sign up for these alerts through Pathway to make sure you stay up to date.

General Public

Parents and community members can sign up for alerts via text message. 

Text "UMKCAlert" (all one word) to 67283. You'll receive a message confirming your phone number has been added to the system. Text "LEAVE UMKCAlert" to stop receiving alerts.

Contact the UMKC Police Department if you have issues signing up.
