Biography

Zhixin Zhai received his master's in mental health counseling from The University of Albany, SUNY. He is currently a doctoral student in counseling psychology at KU. Zhixin works with clients from a person-centered, and strength-based approach through a feminist lens. He believes that clients are the experts of themselves, and his role is to facilitate the exploration and self-growth with clients. Zhixin works with clients in a collaborative way. Additionally, Zhixin works with diverse populations, such as minority groups and international students, who struggle with depression, anxiety, and adjustment to college. Outside of therapy, Zhixin enjoys cooking and hiking.
