Financial documents are not required prior to admission. However, students with an F-1 or J-1 visa are required to provide a statement of finances as proof they are able to afford full-time study for at least one academic year (August through May) before they receive their I-20 or DS-2019.
Follow the Financial Statement Guidelines (PDF)
If we are unable to verify your financial documents through our own efforts, UMKC ISAO will request your permission to verify them through our partner agency Veri Once. The only step you should take is to reply to our request to inform us whether you approve. If you provide approval by email, UMKC ISAO will request and pay for the verification for you. Please do not undertake any verification steps through other means as we do not accept verification from other sources.
If a friend or family member is providing a statement of finances, they will need to submit an affidavit of support indicating that they agree to sponsor your studies.
