Biography

In 2019, I became part of the UMKC Human Resources team, starting as an HR Business Partner. In this role, I collaborated closely with various campus units and served as their primary resource for all HR-related matters. Those units included the School of Education, School of Dentistry, School of Pharmacy, and the Division of Finance and Administration.

In 2023, I took on a new role as Senior HR Manager. In this elevated capacity, I assumed leadership and oversight responsibilities across several key areas within our HR team, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Employee & Labor Relations, Employee Engagement, and HR Service Center operations. Before joining UMKC, my HR journey included roles in Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and HR Service Center functions, spanning multiple industries, including Supply Chain & Logistics (Ryder System, Inc.) and Academic Health Care (MU Health Care).

Beyond UMKC, I am actively engaged in the HR community in Kansas City. In 2019, I joined the Board of Directors for SHRM of Greater Kansas City (SHRM-KC), a local affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). In 2023, I served as Chapter President for SHRM-KC and the chapter's representative on the Missouri State Council of SHRM. Along with other dedicated Board Members, I remain committed to advancing the HR profession and fostering professional development within the HR community. I conferred a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) from the University of Missouri-Columbia and maintain multiple HR certifications including the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
