Anna Zimmerman serves as the inaugural Financial Wellness Center Manager at UMKC. She strives to make the Financial Wellness Center a safe and supportive space for students to bring their financial questions. As Financial Wellness Manager, she leads the Financial Wellness Center and provides one-on-one financial coaching and presentations to students.
Anna was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas. She earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Emporia State University and her Social Impact MBA from Brandeis University. Prior to her work at UMKC, Anna worked in the financial sector in New York City and volunteered with financial education nonprofits. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Kansas City’s restaurant scene and reading on the Nelson-Atkins Museum lawn.
