Amos Jaimes serves as the financial wellness student support specialist at UMKC. He hopes to make the Financial Wellness Center a welcoming space for all students.
Amos was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and earned bachelor's degrees in political science and history from the University of Missouri- Columbia. Amos is currently finishing a master's degree in educational studies from the University of Oklahoma. Before working at UMKC, Amos worked in higher education at the University of Missouri and the University of Oklahoma. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his 15-year-old chihuahua, Bean, and catching up on the latest true crime podcasts.
