The minor in Astronomy is designed for students desiring a general background in Astronomy. There are two tracks (Track One, Track Two) each comprising 18-20 credit hours of required Physics courses. It is highly recommended that students follow Track One, since the upper level courses will be very challenging without a solid foundation in calculus-based physics. Students must receive grades of C or better in each course.
Astronomy advising questions should be directed to Professor Mark Brodwin (brodwinm@umkc.edu) or Professor Dan McIntosh (McIntoshDH@umkc.edu)
