The course would emphasize the controlling state and federal statutes and regulations, as well as case law which illustrates the application of the statutes and other areas of law not covered by statute. The classroom sessions will include discussion of the practical aspects of legal practice in the construction industry, with instruction and examples regarding the drafting of documents and contracts, negotiation of disputes, and decision-making regarding the type of dispute resolution forum to recommend to a client.
