  • 24/7 monitoring of the entire virtual server platform
  • Fire suppression system (FM-200)

Hosting Services

UMKC's virtual server hosting plans provide managed and unmanaged server hosting along with backups.

Standard Virtual Servers include:

• 2 Central Processing Units (CPU)
• 2 GB of Memory
• 1 Gigabit Ethernet Card
• 1 Operating System (OS), either Windows or Linux
• 200 GB of Disk space
• Snapshots performed nightly (retained 7 days)
• Multiple snapshots throughout the day (retained 24 hours)
• Site-to-site replication
• 30 days of backup retention

Monthly fees by university affiliation:

 ¹ basic system administration included

² $80/hr for all system administration work
