Classroom Technology Services (CTS) enables academic excellence by developing, implementing, and maintaining environments that empower teaching and learning for faculty and students.
CTS is available Monday through Thursday, 7am to 7pm, and Friday, 7am to 5pm. If you need assistance with classroom (ILE) technology, you can contact us in the following ways.
Specific detail about individual classrooms is maintained by the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE).
The workstations in the Ideal Learning Environment (ILE) classrooms have two types of software loaded: general software and specialized software.
Please note that not all presentation/webinar software is installed on ILE computers. If you have a specific need, it is recommended you test the ILE classroom prior to your presentation/webinar to confirm it works as expected. If you need to use WebEx, it is required that you bring a laptop. WebEx does not currently work in the ILE environment.
IS maintains a consistent, stable computing environment in all of the ILE classrooms. Ensuring this level of quality means limiting the available software to those applications faculty request to support their teaching initiatives. New software is added three times a year, before the start of each semester. Software submissions are subject to review for proper licensing and compatibility with the existing software set.
The deadline for software requests is three weeks prior to the first day of class for each regular semester.
