If you have taken a course during a regular session at a college after receiving your high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate, no matter how many credits you are transferring to UMKC, you must apply as a transfer student.
If you are transferring fewer than 24 college credits, you must submit both your high school and college transcripts.
If you are transferring 24 or more college credits with an overall grade point average of 2.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale in all coursework, including repeat coursework, you do not need to submit your high school transcripts, and you will be considered for automatic scholarships if you apply by the priority deadline.
Exceptions to this GPA requirement:
Students with a transfer GPA of at least 2.0 who don't meet the GPA requirement can submit a Petition for Admission Exception through the application page.
Students who transfer from a University of Missouri-affilated campus to UMKC will have a campus GPA and a cumulative GPA. The cumulative GPA will be used to determine your admission to UMKC.
