Staff Appreciation Week

 Staff Council Staff Appreciation Week takes place every year, typically in May. Below is an example of the Appreciation Week schedule for 2024. The 2025 schedule will be released in Spring 2025. Questions? Email staffcouncil@umkc.edu. 

Staff Council Appreciation Week 2024

May 13, 15-17

10 a.m.- 4 p.m.

• Free admission to the National Museum of Toys and Miniatures (T/m) for staff and up to 3 family members and a discount at the museum store. 

May 13

Noon-1 p.m.

• Cheer on the finalists of our Amazing Roo Race.

May 14

• Academic units and departments will celebrate staff in their own way.

May 15

• Staff Council Professional Development Conference and Staff Appreciation Lunch.
• 25% discount at the UMKC Bookstore Volker and Health Sciences District locations with UMKC ID.

May 16

6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.

• T/m Make and Sip event

May 17

Noon

• UMKC history walk with Chris Wolff.

May 20-24

• Enjoy a post-appreciation week perk with free day pass from UMKC Campus Recreation at Swinney Center with UMKC ID.
