Staff Community Groups are designed to help UMKC staff connect through shared interests and topics. These self-organized, interest-based groups create opportunities for new friendships and camaraderie within the UMKC staff community.

Unlike Staff Affinity Groups, which are managed by the UMKC Division of Diversity and Inclusion, Staff Community Groups are operated independently from the university.

To be listed on the Staff Council website, groups must:

• Be open to all UMKC staff members
• Maintain a minimum of five UMKC staff members in the group
• Meet at least four times per year

If you would like your group to be listed on the Staff Council Community Group website, please contact staffcouncil@umkc.edu.

Periodic reviews will be conducted to ensure that groups continue to meet the criteria for listing on the Staff Council website. Groups that do not meet the criteria or fail to respond to these reviews will be removed from the website.
