There are multiple SGA elections each year and all UMKC students are welcome to cast votes for their preferred candidates. By participating in elections you can impact student body legislation, distribution of funds and more.

SGA holds campuswide elections once a year during the Spring Semester.

Electoral Commission

The electoral commission consists of at least five voting members, including the election director. The electoral commission holds several key responsibilities:

Advertising and conducting a process for the filing of candidates

Preparing for referenda, recall elections or special elections

Preparing and collecting candidate information forms

Entering pertinent election data into the online voting system

Conducting an online election for the executive board and student senate

Certifying and publishing election results
