Hi, I’m Myah Blocker and I’m the new Assistant Residential Life Coordinator (ARLC) at the Hospital Hill Apartments. I’ve been working with Res. Life for about a month as this is my first tenure here. I chose to work with Res Life here at UMKC because as a student I noticed how much of an impact that the residential life community has had on my college career. I realized going into my graduate career, how I much I want to be involved here at UMKC and how I can make a difference to the lives of undergrad’s. I realized the direct influence I can have as being an ARLC and creating a sense of community here on campus. One of my main mission as a Graduate Student studying Social Work is to be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and build community involvement within urban areas and BIPOC communities.
