Biography

Dr. Mark Daly is director of International Affairs at UMKC, where he oversees study abroad, international student and scholar services, international recruitment and admissions, and campus internationalization. He grew up in central New York State and has managed many areas in academic affairs and student success from recruitment, curriculum development, undergraduate research and campus international for 25 years. Dr. Daly joined UMKC in 2024. His teaching and research focus on medieval culture, Arthurian fiction, cross cultural learning, and language teaching and learning.

Dr. Daly earned a B.A from SUNY Oswego, an M.A. from Indiana University and a Ph.D. in German Studies from the University of Kansas. He also earned two fellowships in Germany. Before coming to UMKC, Dr. Daly worked at Emporia State University, Grand View University and the University of Kansas.
