Campus Promotion and Tenure Committee
Charge
The Campus Promotion and Tenure Committee consists of elected faculty members, tenured at the rank of professor, from each of UMKC's academic schools and the Conservatory. The Campus Promotion and Tenure Committee is charged with the responsibility of evaluating the academic achievements and professional qualifications of tenured and tenure-track faculty members who are candidates for promotion and/or tenure, providing campus-level recommendations to the provost and subsequently the chancellor regarding the strength of the application. Meeting Times, Dates and Deadlines
The committee typically meets each Monday morning from 9–11 a.m. from mid-January through early May to review promotion and tenure applications.
The committee meets on an as-needed basis for expedited promotion and tenure reviews and other evaluation requests across the nine-month academic year.
