Curriculum, Assessment and Accreditation
At UMKC, curriculum and assessment are equal parts of a continuous development cycle designed to improve the educational value of programs and experiences for students. Faculty develop curriculum as part of a vision of educational value; assess the student learning outcomes associated with that curriculum; and design improvements to programs as a result of assessment. It is a recursive, progressive model of academic improvement.
Curriculum
UMKC's curriculum development and modifications go through established processes and approval by the General Education Curriculum Committee and Undergraduate Curriculum Committee. Learn more about curriculum deadlines and the standards that drive the creation of relevant curriculum that leads to student success.
