Teaming Up to Help Students

In 2023, UMKC became the official higher education partner of the reigning Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs, kicking off a five-year partnership designed to give UMKC students access to unparalleled learning experiences, mentorships and exclusive opportunities to go behind the scenes.

Job shadowing, internships and fellowships

Hundreds of people contribute to the success of an organization like the Chiefs. Through job shadowing, internships and fellowships, our students have the chance to learn from these professionals and get a feel for daily life inside the kingdom's keep.

Leadership lunches and stadium tours

You don't get to the top without great leadership, and thanks to this partnership, our students have the chance to network with and gain insight from leaders in different areas of the Chiefs organization during intimate leadership lunches. As an added bonus, they take part in stadium tours, learning about the history of the organization and its owners, the Hunt family.
