The week began with a day of celebration and appreciation. Employees were encouraged to recognize their colleagues' hard work with compliments and thank-you notes. The celebration included delicious donuts, giveaways, and photo booths at both campuses. This set a positive tone for the week ahead.

            

On Tuesday, employees supported the UMKC Kangaroo Pantry by bringing in non-perishable food items. Contributions included canned goods, Ramen noodles, and breakfast items. Departments submitted photos of their combined donations for a chance to win a prize, showcasing a wonderful spirit of giving and community support.

Midweek, staff celebrated Kansas City Spirit Day by wearing apparel that represented UMKC partnerships. From sports teams like the Chiefs and Royals to local attractions, employees showcased their Kansas City pride. The departments shared their spirited group photos for another chance to win a prize.

Thursday was all about department pride! Employees decorated their department doors to showcase their UMKC spirit and creativity. Many departments also enjoyed team-building activities and shared treats like pizza and cookies. Departments submitted photos of their creative door displays, for a chance to win a prize.

The week concluded with Roo Blue Friday, where everyone wore their best blue and gold. Departments came together to capture group photos for a chance to win the final prize. The energy was high as the week wrapped up with this display of UMKC spirit.

Employee Spirit Week was a success, highlighting the incredible employees at UMKC.
