Optum Live and Work Well - Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

As an employee at UMKC, your personal and professional well-being is a priority. There is no better time for a reminder that the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to help with personal, family, relationship, and financial difficulties.

Through our new partnership with Optum Live and Work Well program, Human Resources and UM Total Rewards offers an EAP service to all faculty, staff, and household members. Program benefits include access to professional counselors trained to assist with stress, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, work concerns, financial issues, and family or relationship difficulties.

Unlimited telephonic access to master’s-level clinicians (24/7).

Employees are eligible for up to 3 no-cost, in-network counseling visits per presenting issue. If you need more sessions, you can work with your provider to discuss options for care beyond the EAP offered sessions.
