Dr. Kotlaja and others involved in this research effort will begin their work on January 1, 2024. Over the course of the five-year project, Dr. Kotlaja will present findings to KC city council members.

Joining in the kick-off of this project will be Jennifer Carson, Ph.D., Professor of Criminal Justice and Criminology at the University of Central Missouri; Lori Sexton, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Criminal Justice and Criminology at UMKC; and Misty Campbell, M.S., Assistant Teaching Professor of Criminal Justice and Criminology at UMKC. Additional collaborators will join the project as needed.
