First up is the annual Thanksgiving break. Most employees, except for a short list of critical personnel, will have paid holidays Thursday and Friday Nov. 26 and 27,
Then comes the holiday winter break when, again, most employees will enjoy paid time off from Dec. 25 through Jan. 1. The holiday winter break is an employee benefit established in the university’s Collected Rules and Regulations, and does not need annual renewal to be in effect.
“This year’s holiday breaks are particularly well-earned,” said Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Jenny Lundgren, Ph.D. “So many of our people have worked incredibly hard through the pandemic to keep our community safe and maintain the high quality of our teaching, research and service. I am so glad that we can continue to provide them with this opportunity. Chancellor Agrawal and I urge all of our employees to celebrate the holidays safely, keeping health and wellness recommendations in mind.”
