But they have also revealed the positive effects of empathy and self-sacrifice. You might be feeling pain or the discomfort of not knowing how to be an effective ally to those in pain; you might also have turned your pain into compassion and community support and/or witnessed others who exemplify the mutual benefits of getting into good trouble.”
