Makayla was born and raised in Kansas City, MO. She attended Creighton University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Arts in Music. During her time as an undergraduate at Creighton, she was President of the Chamber Choir, Vice President of Operations for Creighton’s chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma, and worked for the Building Support Team.
Makayla joined the OSI staff as a Graduate Assistant in Events and Entertainment in August 2024. She is pursuing a Master’s of English and plans to graduate in May of 2026.
In her free time, Makayla enjoys reading, music, and playing with her family’s three dogs. She also loves to play tennis and go bowling.
