Following a rapid survey of major principles and actions in American diplomatic affairs before 1900, this course analyzes developing principles, problems, methods and factors in American foreign relations since that date. Attention is given to the interrelationships of domestic factors and foreign relations with an attempt to discover principal influences that have shaped this area of American development.
