Simplified tuition combines current supplemental, course and information technology fees and merges them with tuition to create a per-credit-hour tuition cost based on the academic program rate of your declared course of study. Simplified tuition will apply to all undergraduate programs.
You can expect to see these changes on your bill starting Fall 2023. Current UMKC undergraduate students will be automatically transitioned to their academic program rate. Newly admitted students will be charged based on their major and course selection at the time of enrollment..

Under simplified tuition, the majority of UMKC majors have the same cost per credit hour. That rate also applies to general education program courses, with the exception of undergraduate students admitted into a professional program.
There will be some academic programs that charge slightly higher rates, reflecting materials, lab costs or other unique services.
For students declaring more than one major or officially enrolled in more than one academic program, the highest academic program rate applies.
